Not every couple wants to discuss what happens next. For the rest of you, here is a large spinning object that makes the decision and takes the blame.
The wheel has 24 slices. Tap to spin, wait for the pointer to stop, and whoever spun does what it says. It won’t land on a slice twice until every other slice has had its turn, so you won’t get stuck with six rounds of foot rubs.
A minute with the list first
Scroll through the slices together before anyone spins; it takes a minute and it’s all the preparation the game asks for. If there’s a slice one of you doesn’t fancy tonight, say so now and treat it as a free spin whenever it comes up. The same courtesy holds later on: whoever spun can send any slice back and spin again, and the other person takes that in stride without needing the story behind it.
A few slices that need explaining
Free pass can be saved and spent on any later spin, to choose your slice from the list instead of leaving it to the wheel. It’s the game’s one currency, and people get protective of it.
Director hands your partner one minute of telling your hands where to go and how slowly. The word “stop” works for both of you at any point.
Both of you means your partner spins next and you both do whatever comes up, so it’s the slice most likely to send the game somewhere you didn’t plan.
One item off counts socks, jewelry and hats. House rules on whether glasses count are entirely up to you.
Wheel questions
How long does a game last?
As long as you like; a full trip around all 24 slices takes about half an hour if you keep to the timers.
Can we change the slices?
The wheel’s dares are fixed for now. If you want dares you’ve written yourselves, the sex dice can be rewritten face by face, and the faces stay on your phone.
Is this better with more clothes on at the start?
Dress as if you’ve got somewhere to be: it lengthens the game and gives “one item off” something to work with.
