About Spicy for Two

Spicy for Two is a small website with one idea behind it: couples should be able to play something fun together tonight, without installing an app, without creating an account and without anyone else knowing what they got up to.

What you’ll find here

There are eleven games and a set of guides. The games are cards, dice, a wheel, a roleplay generator, printable coupons and a couple of things you’d have trouble doing on paper, like comparing wishes so that only the shared ones show, or keeping two phones on the same card in different cities.

Every card was written with two consenting adults in mind, whoever they are and however they’ve arranged their lives. We keep it suggestive and playful, and we’d rather make you laugh and then blush than shock you. Each game gives you a way out as well as a way in, because the best thing about playing with someone you trust is that either of you can say “not that one” and carry on.

How we build the games

The games run on your phone, in your browser, and the content ships with the page. That’s a deliberate design choice. It keeps the site fast, and it means that your answers have nowhere to go. Where a game needs two phones, it uses a shared link rather than an account on a server. The privacy page has the specifics, and we’ve tried to write it in plain English.

We read all the cards, and we throw out anything that seems mean-spirited, risky or just plain dull. If you find one that misses, or you have an idea for a better one, we’d love to hear from you.

How it’s funded

The games are free, with no ads over the cards. Some pages carry a clearly marked partner link, which leads to an adult site for couples. If you go on to sign up or buy something there, we may get a cut, and you pay the same. That’s what keeps the site running.
